NEW HAMPSHIRE’S FUNDING TO FIGHT ADDICTION CAN GO TOWARDS NEW PROGRAMMING
CONCORD, N.H. – Due to a change in federal funding structure, New Hampshire has gained a significant increase in dollars to battle addiction. In response to the increase, Michele Merritt, President and CEO of New Futures, released the following statement:
“The significant increase in funding to fight New Hampshire’s addiction epidemic can help us build critical infrastructure and support new evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery programs,” said Merritt. “The bipartisan work of our state and federal leaders, including Governor Sununu and our Congressional Delegation, will better prepare New Hampshire to support whole families living with addiction. We look forward to working with state leaders to ensure prompt action and timely disbursement of these funds.”
