Public Hearing - Amendment - Hemp-Derived THC Products
- Price: FREE
Due to a legal loophole, hemp-derived THC products known as delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10 were sold in New Hampshire until October 2023. A 2023 law banned the products for one year, meaning that without more legislative action, the products could return to shelves in October 2024. SB 505 looks to permanently ban these dangerous and unregulated products.
The House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee will hold a public hearing on a non-germane amendment to the bill on Wednesday, May 8 at 10 am at the Legislative Office Building in Room 205. The non-germane amendment would legalize the sale of hemp-derived THC products at New Hampshire retailers, like gas stations and convenience stores, without imposing effective regulations.
TAKE ACTION:
- SIGN IN to OPPOSE the amendment to SB 505 (by midnight on May 8).
- Email the Committee to urge them to pass the original bill, which would permanently ban these dangerous and unregulated products.
- Attend the hearing in person - let us know if you're interested.
