Linda Saunders Paquette, Esq.
Linda Saunders Paquette has overall leadership and management responsibility for New Futures. With the Board of Directors, she establishes the strategic priorities for the organization. She leads the organization in advancing its mission by creating new possibilities for project initiatives and grants, fostering innovation, leveraging resources, establishing partnerships, and coordinating staff activities. In addition, she seeks to identify opportunities for collaboration between and among New Futures and public and nonprofit entities on policy and legislative issues of mutual concern such as public funding for treatment services, and the need for integrated treatment.
Linda received her Juris Doctor degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1978 and is a member of the NH Bar Association. After graduating from law school, Linda directed the Elderly Legal Services Program of the New Hampshire Bar Association; was the Managing Attorney of the Belknap/Merrimack County Public Defender Program; taught Evidence and Trial Advocacy at Franklin Pierce Law Center; and, served as a special justice for Concord District Court, hearing cases regarding Involuntary Emergency Admissions of individuals to New Hampshire Hospital.
Linda joined the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in 1996. While at DHHS, Linda managed the DHHS Administrative Appeals Unit; served as Legal Counsel to the Division for Children, Youth and Families; and, was Deputy Director of Division of Behavioral Health. Most recently, she served as Administrator of the Office of Improvement, Integrity and Information and as DHHS LEAN Coordinator.
