Become a Recovery Coach!
Recovery Coaching is a peer-based recovery support service that is non-clinical and designed to engage others beyond recovery initiation through stabilization and into recovery maintenance.

Similar peer interventions in clinical settings have been shown to improve engagement and retention of people seeking services. It is also known that long-term treatment and/or recovery outcomes are improved by assertive linkages to community-based recovery supports such as Recovery Coaching.
The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is a five day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills need to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into, or sustain, long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs.
New Futures collaborates on trainings for individuals who are involved in the recovery initiation of others, and/or are in sustained recovery themselves and want to become a Recovery Coach or a Certified Recovery Support Worker for people seeking or already in recovery.
Attached at the bottom of this page is the Certified Recovery Support Worker Application.

Why should you take the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy?
- The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy offers 30 CEUs that you can use towards becoming a Certified Recovery Support Worker.
- The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy focuses on three main tenants of coaching - ask good questions, actively listen and manage your space and time.
- The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is for anyone who simply wants to learn more about recovery! Parents, family members, recovery allies can learn about recovery from addiction in order to understand and help those closest to them who may be seeking or in recovery. As well, people in recovery will learn about their own recovery. Participants in recovery find their experience empowering and that it offers them hope as they continue in their recovery journey.
These are just a few reasons why the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is a national recognized model and has trained more than 9000 coaches across the country!
All manuals will be provided. Participants will receive a Recovery Coach Academy Certificate. No certificates will be issued for partial completion. For more information please contact our Community Engagement Director Cheryle Pacapelli at (603) 225-9540 x120 or email@example.com.
