Establishing drug courts - SB 464

Establishing drug courts - SB 464

Relative to establishing a statewide drug offender grant program, establishing drug courts or alternative drug offender programs in certain counties, making appropriations therefore, and transferring certain revenues to the revenue stabilization reserve account.

New Futures supports the creation of Drug Courts because we know that 7 out of every 10 inmates currently suffer from a substance use disorder. We believe that inmates deserve to have information and access to treatment options as well as recovery support.

Watch New Hampshire Superior Court Justice Tina Nadeau talk about the benefits of drug courts for those suffering with substance use disorder, as well as for families and the benefits to our overall community.
