Free Training: Trauma-Informed Care Presentation
This FREE presentation by Linda Douglas from the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence will provide the basics for understanding how childhood trauma and toxic stress impacts growth and development. It is for anyone who provides services to people who have had traumatic experiences, adults or children, and is ideal for any agency or professional who is interested in providing trauma-informed services. Attendees will gain:
· An increased knowledge of the effects of childhood trauma as it relates to physical, mental, and emotional health.
· The ability to identify possible procedures, policies, or physical structures that could activate trauma responses.
· The ability to describe 3 interventions or skills used to decrease trauma responses.
