Tom Donovan

Tom is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in NH and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in MA. Tom has a MA Degree in Mental Health Counseling (2013) and a BA in Criminal Justice from Franklin Pierce University (2003). Tom has both personal and professional experience with substance abuse and explains his family is “riddled” with addiction. Prior to becoming a LCMHC, Tom was a MA Police Officer and is a recovered alcoholic of 10 years. Tom began his career in Community Mental Health at Greater Nashua Mental Health Center. He worked as Program Manager at Elder Services of the Merrimac Valley, New Hampshire Health Families as a SUD Coordinator, Co-owned a private treatment center,  worked in private practice, and was Clinical Manager for “the Doorway”, in Concord, NH.  Tom is currently employed as a Therapist and Clinical Outreach for Addiction Recovery Services in Salem, Newton, and Portsmouth NH. Tom has resided in NH for 30 years and is dedicated to helping others experiencing both addition and mental health disorders. Tom’s expertise is substance abuse groups and individual counseling. Tom describes himself as person centered and uses his experiences and training to help others to find their own versions of recovery within themselves.
