medicaid expansion reauthorization signed into law
CONCORD, N.H. – Today, Governor Chris Sununu signed SB 313 into law, reauthorizing Medicaid Expansion for five years. In response, Michele Merritt, President and CEO of New Futures, released the following statement:
“There is no denying that Medicaid Expansion keeps New Hampshire healthy, helps us fight addiction, and lowers health care costs across our state,” said Merritt. “The reauthorization of this critical program means that 52,000 Granite Staters will continue to have access to health care and New Hampshire as a whole will continue to benefit from a healthy workforce and a growing economy. Thank you to Gov. Sununu, Commissioner Meyers, Sen. Bradley, Sen. Morse, Sen. Feltes, Rep. Rosenwald, and all our legislative leaders, health care providers and advocates, among many others, who worked to ensure the passage of SB 313 and the continuation of this vital program. The Granite State is safer, stronger and healthier thanks to you.”
