STATEMENT ON THE Senate PASSAGE OF SB 313
CONCORD, N.H. – Tonight, the New Hampshire Senate voted 17-7 to pass SB 313, which will reauthorize Medicaid Expansion. In response, Michele Merritt, President and CEO of New Futures, released the following statement:
“Thank you to the Senators who voted in support of SB 313, which reauthorizes New Hampshire’s Medicaid Expansion program and ensures continued health care coverage for more than 50,000 Granite Staters. Not only is this program essential to keeping the Granite State healthy, but it is also crucial to supporting New Hampshire’s vibrant economy. Today, the Senate agreed with the majority of Granite Staters, this program represents a critical piece of New Hampshire’s health care network and must be reauthorized. We look forward to continuing to work with our lawmakers and other advocates to move SB 313 through the House and pass it into law.”
