MEDICAID EXPANSION MAKES ITS WAY TO FINAL HOUSE FLOOR VOTE
CONCORD, N.H. – This morning, the House Finance Committee voted 24-2 to recommend SB 313, which would reauthorize Medicaid Expansion, ought to pass to the full NH House of Representatives. In response, Michele Merritt, New Futures’ president and CEO, released the following statement:
“Senate Bill 313 has now made its way through the Senate, full House, and multiple House committees, each time coming away with a strong, bipartisan vote to pass the bill and reauthorize Medicaid Expansion,” said Merritt. “It’s clear that our lawmakers understand the importance of Medicaid Expansion, which provides access to health care for over 52,000 Granite Staters. Today’s Finance Committee vote tells us that the finances of the bill work. It just makes sense for the full House to agree with the majority of Granite Staters and heed the committee’s recommendation to pass SB 313 and reauthorize Medicaid Expansion.”
