Eric Adams is a police officer with the City of Laconia.  Eric started his career in Law Enforcement in 2000.  Eric worked as a Corrections Officer with the NH State Prison in Concord and in 2004 was hired as a police officer with the Town of Tilton.  In 2005 Eric was assigned to the NH Attorney Generals Drug Task Force as an undercover narcotics detective.  In 2011, Eric returned back to the Tilton Police Department.  In 2012, Eric was hired by the Laconia Police Department to work in the Patrol Division.  In October 2014, Eric was re-assigned as the Prevention, Enforcement, and Treatment Coordinator where he currently holds this position. In this role, Eric works directly with individuals and their families that are suffering from a substance use disorder, as a support network and helping to navigate barriers they are presented with.

Eric is a graduate of the 68th NH Corrections Academy.   Eric is also a graduate of the 135th session of the NH Police Standards and Training Council.  Eric is a member of the steering committee of Stand Up Laconia, a grassroots coalition targeting substance misuse prevention.  Eric is also a member of several other committees in the community to include LRGHealthcare’s Access Team and the Family Violence Prevention Council.

Eric and his wife reside in Franklin with their two young children, Keegan and Hallie.
