NH & VT Advocacy Training

in partnership with the Public Health Council for the Upper Valley & Bi-State Primary Care

Wednesday, March 4th, 5 - 8 PM

Kilton Library, 80 Main St, West Lebanon, NH

Learn how to effectively advocate for public health issues in NH and VT! This training will provide an overview of how a bill becomes a law (in both states!) and when and how to get involved in that process. We'll cover best practices for engaging with legislators, how and why to bring a personal story into your advocacy message, and practical advocacy skills like testifying at a public hearing, calling your legislator, and writing a Letter to the Editor. Leave feeling more empowered to take action on the issues you care about and make change in your state!

Full Day Advocacy Training

Thursday, March 26, 9 AM - 5 PM

New Futures, 100 N. Main St, Concord, NH

Do you know how to effectively advocate for issues you care about in NH? Learn how to make change in the Granite State! We’ll cover topics like how a bill becomes a law, best practices for engaging with legislators, and practical advocacy skills. The day will include a walk-through of the State House. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Doors open at 8:30 am. Snow date: April 2nd.
