Public Hearing - Legalize Drug Checking Equipment

Under current law, with the exceptions of fentanyl and xylazine test strips, the possession with intent to distribute lifesaving drug checking equipment is an unclassified misdemeanor and punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of $2,000.
HB 470 would make it easier for Granite Staters to access life-saving drug testing kits to prevent overdoses.
HB 470 passed the House in early January and has crossed over to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is holding a public hearing on HB 470 on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:15 pm at the State House in Room 100. Take action:
