SB 375 would ban transgender girls from playing on girls' sports teams in both public schools and colleges. This bill goes even farther to discriminate against trans people by prohibiting them from using the locker room aligned with their gender identity. Sports and athletics offer opportunities for all students to build a sense of belonging and learn important life skills like teamwork, leadership, confidence, and self-discipline.

 

The House Education Committee is holding a public hearing on the bill on Monday, April 22 at 10:45 am at the Legislative Office Building in Room 205.
