Health care tax credits used by 50,000 in NH are expiring. Shaheen wants to make them permanent.

A tax credit used by almost 50,000 in New Hampshire to pay for their health care through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace is set to expire at the end of the year. But congressional Democrats, including U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, have made preserving those credits a key priority amid the spending fight to keep the government open.
“We need to ensure that people can continue to get their health insurance,” Shaheen said in a phone interview with the Bulletin. “It’s important for the workforce. It’s important for our employers.”
