They say it takes a village to raise a family – but what they don’t say is that it also takes a village to care for an adult loved one.
Sometimes, that village just isn’t big enough and it falls mainly on one person. For my husband, an older adult with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, that one person is me.
