New Futures Receives Grant from Point32Health Foundation to Advance Healthy Aging Policy in New Hampshire
CONCORD, NH – New Futures, New Hampshire’s leading health policy and advocacy organization, received a $385,000 general operating grant from Point32Health Foundation. The funds support the organization in leading policy efforts that build inclusive communities for New Hampshire residents of all ages.
“We are deeply grateful for this generous grant, which will help us continue advancing policies that promote healthy aging and ensure the implementation of the System of Care for Healthy Aging,” said New Futures’ President Michele D. Merritt, Esq. “As the second-oldest state in the nation, it’s crucial that our public policies address the needs of us all as we age. This funding will help us promote age-friendly communities, improve access to services and the ability to choose where and how people age, and support caregivers and families.”
This grant is one of 38 new investments totaling $12,092,405 from Point32Health Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Point32Health and its family of companies, including Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan and Care Partners of Connecticut.
This investment is part of a broader strategy of the Foundation to improve conditions for older people, build community power, promote healthier lives and advance equitable communities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Through the multi-year commitments, the Foundation ensures there are dependable resources to advance unique and community centered solutions.
