New Futures Announces Organizational Restructure to Support Continued Growth
CONCORD, N.H.--New Futures, New Hampshire’s leading health policy organization, is pleased to announce an organizational restructuring that reflects the organization’s growth and expanded impact across the state.
The restructure includes the elevation of key leadership positions and the promotion of policy staff who have demonstrated exceptional expertise in their respective issue areas.
New Futures has elevated five staff members to leadership roles:
- Jake Berry has been elevated to Senior Vice President
- Sammi Chickering has been elevated to Vice President of Communications
- Jim Doyle has been elevated to Vice President of Development
- Rebecca Woitkowski has been elevated to Vice President of Policy
- Emma Sevigny has been elevated to Senior Policy Director
Additionally, Sam Burgess (previously New Futures’ Health Care Policy Coordinator), Trina Ingelfinger (Early Care and Education), and Judith Jones (Healthy Aging) have been elevated to policy director positions, reflecting their growing leadership in shaping evidence-based policy solutions across their respective issue areas. Michaela Safford has been elevated to Communications Director, and Jill Billow has been elevated to Finance and Operations Manager.
“Over the last several years, New Futures has expanded our reach considerably, doubling our staff in response to growing demand for our nonpartisan policy expertise,” said Michele Merritt, President of New Futures. “This restructure recognizes the incredible talent and leadership of our team while positioning us to continue expanding our impact across New Hampshire.”
As Senior Vice President, Berry will assume an expanded leadership position to streamline New Futures’ three-pronged approach to policy work. As Vice President of Policy, Woitkowski will provide leadership and guidance to the policy directors, in addition to her policy work in maternal health. Sevigny will oversee New Futures’ legal fellows and lead New Futures’ children's behavioral health policy efforts.
As Vice President of Communications at New Futures, Chickering will lead a growing communications team and streamline organizational messaging. As Vice President of Development, Doyle will continue to generate revenue to sustain the organization.
The restructure, which went effect January 1, strengthens New Futures’ capacity to advance its mission of solving New Hampshire’s health challenges through public policy change and civic empowerment.
