This Week at the State House: Week of March 9, 2026

Spring is in the air, and that means we’re nearly halfway through the legislative session in New Hampshire! With crossover on March 27th now just around the corner, lawmakers are working to move bills out of committee and vote on them before the deadline.

This week is no exception, with two public hearings and several votes in both the Senate and the House of Representatives on our priority bills. These bills involve helping residents afford health care, ending marketing of addictive products to youth, vaccine access for families, expanding access to child care, and supporting older adults. We’re also recapping last week’s votes and hearings!

Join us for our Advocacy 101 Webinar this Thursday, March 12th from 12 to 1 pm! Our Training Manager, Peter, will provide an overview of how the legislative process works in New Hampshire, including ways you can get involved to support issues you care about. It’s not too late to register!

Keep reading to learn more and take action!
