This Week at the State House: Week of January 12, 2026

It’s the second week of the 2026 legislative session, and public hearings begin this week on the more than 1,200 bills filed. Six New Futures priority bills have upcoming hearings, with issues relating to health care, family and kinship caregivers, and childhood immunizations.

As a reminder, the Legislative Office Building is closed this year for repair. Senate hearings will take place at the State House and in the State Library, while all House hearings will be held at Granite Place, located approximately one mile outside of downtown Concord. To help you navigate hearings at Granite Place, we’ve put together a resource covering directions, parking, and finding committee rooms.

New Futures is excited to share that we’re bringing back our weekly Lunch and Learn series to keep you informed on critical legislation impacting health and well-being in New Hampshire. Each week, our expert policy team will provide a legislative update, answer questions, and connect you to opportunities to get involved. Sessions will take place on Fridays from 1:30-2 pm and will be recorded. Register for one or more sessions now!
