This Week at the State House: Week of April 20, 2026
The trees in front of the State House are starting to bloom, and this week’s agenda is packed with opportunities to make your voice heard! A Senate committee will hold a public hearing on a bill that expands access to child care. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives will hold sessions on Thursday, April 23: the House will vote on two bills that seek to close loopholes that allow companies to market and sell addictive products to youth, and may vote on a bill that restricts school vaccine clinics. Committees will soon vote on legislation that impacts children’s behavioral health coverage, prescription affordability, and immunization access. Meanwhile, two bills related to healthy aging are headed to the Governor’s desk.
