This Week at the State House: Week of May 11, 2026

This is the week it all comes down to at the NH State House! This Thursday, May 14, is the last day the House and Senate can vote on bills this session.

Several of New Futures' top priorities are on the floor, including Senate Bill 498, which would close the private insurance coverage gap for children's intensive wraparound behavioral health services. It's a commonsense fix that's been a long time coming, and Thursday is its last shot this session. We’re coming together at the State House this Thursday, May 14, starting at 8:00 AM to show our support. Show up, fill the hall, bring a sign, and wear lime green (we'll have t-shirts to hand out, too!). Your presence sends a message to lawmakers that New Hampshire families, providers, and advocates are paying attention. RSVP to our Facebook event and share it to help spread the word.

Also on the floor are bills targeting the marketing of addictive products to youth, strengthening oversight of recovery housing, and more. Read on for more ways to take action!

Your contribution to New Futures will leave a lasting impact in the Granite State!
