Public Hearing - Grow the Health Care Workforce
- Price: FREE
Across New Hampshire, severe workforce shortages are impacting Granite Staters’ access to health care. Patients are facing lengthy wait times and traveling long distances to get the care they need when they need it.
SB 403 aims to increase access to care by growing the state’s health care workforce. Although the bill was amended in the Senate to no longer fund certain workforce priorities, it still proposes to create voluntary certification for Community Health Workers, which would provide a clear career path and greater financial stability for these frontline health workers.
The House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee is holding a public hearing on HB 403 on Wednesday, April 10 at 11:00 am at the Legislative Office Building, Room 203.
