Substance use prevention and treatment providers are on the front lines of suicide prevention efforts.  Designated a National Best Practice program, connect training utilizes a unique community-based, public health approach designed to increase the competence of substance abuse prevention and treatment providers in recognizing and responding to individuals who are suicidal or at risk for suicide. Connect Suicide Prevention and Intervention Training includes a review of National Best Practice suicide prevention/intervention policies and procedures specific to the substance abuse fields, interactive case scenarios, and discussion on how to integrate key community services for an effective and comprehensive response.
